About Me

Zac is an elite junior golfer and two-time U.S. Kids Golf World Champion from Australia.

Zac recently turned 7 years old and lives in the heart of Melbourne's famed Sandbelt region.

As a toddler, Zac took a liking to sport, with his favourite activity being to hit balls around the living room.

At just 2 years old, Zac won Little Linkster’s world’s best kids golf swing competition, as judged by Jack Nicklaus, Francesco Molinari and a number of other PGA Tour players.

Zac started playing competitive golf at 3 years old, where he won his first Melbourne US Kids Golf Local Tour Series (under 7s). Zac has since gone on to win this best of six event series on four separate occasions.

At 4 years old, Zac had his first tournament hole in one at Rosebud Country Club, with a well struck 7 iron from 63 metres.

In December 2021 at age 5, Zac won the US Kids Australian Challenge at Moonah Links (Victoria) with an overall score to par of -1. In April 2022, just days after turning 6, Zac won the Australian Junior Age Division Championship (under 7s division), held over three rounds at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast (Queensland) in a playoff against a skilled competitor from Thailand.

Zac spent July and August 2022 in America, competing in the US Kids World Golf Championships - the pinnacle of junior golf tournaments globally held at the world-famous Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. Zac shot an overall score (across the three tournament rounds) of -7 and in doing so, beat a field of 73 elite junior golfers from all over the world to be crowned world champion.

In December 2022, Zac won his second consecutive US Kids Australian Challenge at Moonah Links (Victoria), shooting -2 despite some extreme playing conditions. In April 2023, a week after Zac’s 7th birthday he again competed in Australian Junior Age Division Championships (Royal Pines, Queensland) in the under 9s (boys 7 & 8) category as the youngest competitor in the field. Zac’s game was a little off over the first two days, however his scrambling excellent, managing to stay in contention. On the final day Zac shot the low tournament round of -3 (33) to come from behind cinch victory in a playoff and record his second consecutive Australian Junior Age Division Championship. Overall, on the final day Zac made 7 birdies in 13 holes.

In July 2023, Zac travelled back to Pinehurst with the aspiration of defending his 6 and under world championship in the boys 7 division. On the challenging Mid Pines layout (1921, Donald Ross design), Zac was the only player from the strong 96-person field to finish under par, recording a wire-to wire win to become a back-to-back world champion.

Zac is a member of Huntingdale Golf Club, where he practices diligently under the tuition of Australia’s leading elite junior development instructor Richard Woodhouse (KDV Sports, Queensland). Zac and Richard work together via virtual mediums in addition to face to face training blocks 4-6 times each year on the Gold Coast.

Zac is currently in Grade 1 and outside of golf, loves many sports (incl. playing club basketball in addition to soccer, tennis, football, hockey and cricket with his friends), learning guitar, being creative with Lego and drawing.

Zac has been featured in numerous golf specific publications (incl. Golf Digest, Golf Australia and Inside Golf Australia magazines, golf podcasts and YouTube shows) in addition to mainstream media (incl. Channel 9 News, Channel 7 News, Channel 7 Sunrise segments, Have You Been Paying Attention on Network 10 and various national newspapers articles - amongst others).
